My Sincerest Apologies

It has been a very tragic and difficult 2016 which had me say good-bye to old friends, and it had inevitably killed my inspiration to write. I had so many big plans for my writing for 2016. Truly. But none were able to come to fruition.

However…

As I slowly climb out of this emotionally difficult time, I’ve discovered I can write again. I feel inspiration growing inside me. I am beginning to visualize my stories playing before my mind’s eye, and I tell you, it’s been a very long time since I was able to do that! So with growing hope, I believe I’m on the mend.

Please be assured that I’m still writing on Hallowed Eve and other books, and I plan to have Hallowed Eve available before Halloween 2017. It’s a wonderful historical bro-sis tale that takes place in the 17th century full of intrigue, drama, explicit sexual scenes, and MAGIC. It is, after all, a tale of witches set in a very young Germany during the very first REAL witch trials in human history.

I hope to have it available for purchase at all your favorite e-book retailers soon. In the meantime, I thank you for your patience and for your understanding.

Just in time for Halloween!

HALLOWED EVE

Due to be Released October 29, 2016

001_hallowedeve_bc_fini_512x778_png

During the 17th century Bamberg Witch Trials, a lonely young baron, Gustav, born noble, malformed, and hideous, meets a mysterious and beautiful maiden who calls herself Eve.

She tells him that she is his sister, that they share the same blood through their mother, and that he must help her end the Prince-Bishop of Bamberg’s brutal reign of terror by unifying their people against him.

To fulfill their destiny and end the senseless deaths of hundreds of innocent men, women, and children, Eve, a true witch, would need her omnipotent powers of witchcraft—but only her brother can awaken them by igniting the fires of her lust that have lain dormant…

Halloween has always been a favorite time of year for me since I’m rumored to have come from a long line of seers and ‘witches’ of the Indonesian kind. Even to this day, the people of Indonesia still practice mysticism like the ‘kris pusaka’ and ‘Jelangkung, the possessed flying dolls’. My ancestors come from East and West Java, Indonesia, so you can imagine why Halloween has always held a special place in my heart for me and my family.

A traditional Kris.

If it possesses mystical powers, it becomes KRIS PUSAKA.800px-kris_pamor

Traditional Jelangkung Dolls: Dolls that defy gravity and could fly.

Made of half a coconut for the head and a body of sticks fashioned in a cross, and made-up and clothed. These would entertain people by flying around the audience, held by a string or rope. It’s said that to make one of these, the creators had to fashion the doll and lay it on a fresh grave for an entire night. SPOOKY.

I, personally, have a few tales I can tell you from my junior high days when I was challenged to a little witchcraft test…but that’s for another time.

Loving Siblings Series Continues

I’ve decided to continue with the Loving Siblings Series. I will be adding two more titles to this series to make it an 8-book Series. Needless to say, it is one of my most popular series.

I’m currently writing the 6th book to the series entitled, Brandon & Kathryn. The two other books will be titled, “Devin & Audrianna” and “Marcus & Contessa“, and I’ll post their description on the Full Novels Coming Soon! page.

At the moment, I haven’t decided if I’ll continue with the Loving Siblings series after the two I’ve already decided to add, but I could easily add two more books if it continues to be popular.

At any rate, I’m also writing stand-alone family exotica. My latest submission is the half-sibling romance entitled, “Colin’s Sister, Ketty” submitted today to my publisher, Lot’s Cave, and to Excitica where it is already available. It’s the featured book as you can see on the sidebar.

As always, if you have any comments please leave one for me or you can e-mail me at CShields562@cs.com.

Till the next time something pops into my head!

My most sincerest apologies…

I know I haven’t been around for sometime, but some tragic events have happened that I just didn’t have the inspiration for writing. Also, my 8-year old external hard-drive and 3-year old desktop acted up just before they both crashed. This had cost me all of my files on those drives. Worst part was, just before the crash, some files had already been badly corrupted, one of them being “Tristin & Georgina”, book 5 to my Loving Siblings series. I guess I downloaded a virus without even knowing it.

On a side note…Who on god’s green Earth creates those damned things just to have a laugh at people’s expenses?! Do these bored idiots actually think it’s funny??

The crash of both my hard-drive and desktop drive resulted in my having to buy a new external (got a 1T this time!) and start all over on the 5th book to my Loving Siblings series. I’ve had to rewrite all the parts that weren’t corrupted, using the Smashwords epub version that I had to download.

When I finally sat down to finally and feverishly write, a rapid succession of tragic events happened in our lives. We lost two very close friends in a horrific car accident on the deadly I-210 on Father’s Day – two young men I’ve known ever since they were little boys. This tore us apart inside. And to add to our sorrow, we also lost two beloved long-time pets to brain tumors and one, a hit-and-run asshole. I was seriously in a funk and couldn’t think, let alone write.

But time heals all wounds, eventually…I guess. I’m now at a place where I can actually tap into my creative inspiration again. So I’ve been hard at work PDFing and converting those files into DOCX of all the stories I had on my old external hard drive. Now I’m back to writing. I tell ya – it was one helluva task!

I have rewritten and republished “Tristin & Georgina” as a SECOND Edition. I’m currently writing Book 6, “Brandon & Kathryn”, rewriting an older story in my secret library and giving it a new twist. I hope to have it done and published before Thanksgiving this year, but please don’t hold me to it. Who knows? The Big One just might hit California and our entire State can slide into the Pacific forever – just as some experts have been predicting for decades now.

Anyway, I’m going to end this post with the mention that I’ve also been publishing my erotica at Excitica – a new site set up by New York Times best-selling author, Selena Kitt. You can find my page here: exciticalogo

So please be on the look-out for my newest Loving Siblings novel, Brandon & Kathryn, and, as always, if you’ve got something you’d like to share with me, please feel free to leave a comment or write me directly at CShields562@cs.com.

Thanks for stopping by! And keep it sex-say.

I’m so excited! I’ve been featured on another blog!

Forrest Young Banner_832x131_PNG

Click to go to eBooks by Forrest Young

A new review site for the Carnal Pleasures erotica e-book site has featured my latest taboo erotic romance novel, “Fleur in Blossom“. Forrest Young, the person who manages the blog, is a fellow author of taboo erotica who thinks along the same lines as I do. Like me, he’s basically done with Amazon’s “moral majority” censorship that’s getting worse with every passing month. Also, he shares my frustration with fellow taboo erotica authors who complain about the creeping censorship of big e-publishers like Amazon, Kobo, and Sony but who, for some strange reason, just can’t stop linking to them.

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of justified criticism while trying to stop the disenfranchisement of creative fiction? I mean, if someone is frustrated with the way a business disenfranchises people (both authors and readers alike), why link to them? Clicks generate money for Amazon, too, and being a corporation with the only fiduciary responsibility of generating profit for their shareholders, as long as they make money, no change will happen and they’ll continue to disenfranchise whomever they please. However, stop clicking by the tens of thousands, and they just might pay attention.

My solution would be for those hundreds, maybe even thousands, of disenfranchised erotica authors to promote each other’s blogs and to link to publishing sites such as Lot’s Cave and Carnal Pleasures where the expression of uncensored and tasteful “speech” is still respected, even encouraged. If we can find a way to unite on this, we can take the power back from multi-billion dollar corporations. We can start a grassroots movement for true adult fiction that is only limited by one’s titillating imagination (and common sense lawful boundaries).

So give yourself a treat and click on the image above. It will take you to Forrest Young’s blog where you can read some very interesting and informative posts. I want to give a shout out to Mr. Young for his sharp insights, his informative blog posts, and for his honest opinion, tastefully written, on the state of e-publishing for erotica Indie authors. And I’d like to thank Phaedrus T. Wolfe for bringing Forrest Young’s blog to my attention.

On a personal note, a shout-out to Lot’s Cave and their new and improved site! Beautiful AND functional, but I’m also tickled-pink that Lot’s Cave will be accepting all genres such as paranormal erotic romances, even Young Adult. I write those as well and it’s nice to know I’ll be able to publish them on Lot’s Cave.

Finally, I apologize for the delay in releasing the fourth book in the Loving Siblings series. I’d taken ill and just couldn’t sit behind my comp for longer than an hour or so. But I’m feeling better now and am putting the finishing touches on the 60,000 + word e-book, Ivan & Isabella, that I’ll soon be submitting for e-publishing. Please stay tuned!

Book 3 in The Loving Siblings Series just published

Loving Siblings: Liam & Liliana, has been uploaded and published on SMASHWORDS on May 6, 2014 and is now available. I’ve also submitted the manuscript to Lot’s Cave, and you can find here.

L.S. Book Cover for Liam & Liliana

Liam Sutherland has known only one true love in his life, and it was with a much older woman, a neighbor. And from that love he’s suffered his only broken heart. But it was his sweet and loving younger sister, Liliana, who had helped him through those dark times although, secretly, he still can’t forget Victoria. Then one stormy night, as he’s beset by an intense fever, it’s not Victoria he fantasizes about but none other than his beautiful sister. The intense passion he experiences making love to his sister in that dream instantly transfers his love and lust from Victoria to Liliana, finally breaking the spell and mending his broken heart. But with this healing comes a price: he finds himself sexually hungering for and falling in love with his sister who doesn’t know that his feelings have changed for her.
Or does she?

I’m also working on Book 4, Loving Siblings: Ivan & Isabella, and hope to have it done by the end of August 2014 – if not sooner.
